History
Iron was first discovered at Skiningrove in 1847, life down the mines was hard, with lives being lost on a regular basis. Indeed, at one point in time there were two explosions in one year with a loss of fifteen lives being recorded.
In those days there was no such thing as risk assessments, the men had to look out for themselves, in fact there were more regulations regarding the welfare of the horses than there was for the men. A dark and dangerous place indeed.
Skinningrove's product has reached out far... to the other side of the world, for the Sydney Harbour bridge was fabricated at Skinningrove, and every arch has Skinningrove stamped upon it.
Join us; Shadows of the Night, as we investigate this strange location. The eerie feeling of being followed, voices echoing through the darkness, apparitions, all this awaits the Shadows of the Night team... and who knows what else lurks in the darkness.
